Kia Sportage Unveils Striking New Updates

Kia has recently introduced notable enhancements to its popular SUV, the Sportage, across various markets, including Pakistan and the UK.

Pakistan: Launch of the 5th-Generation Sportage

In Pakistan, Kia unveiled the 5th-generation Sportage on February 6, 2025, offering three variants:

• 2.0L Petrol Alpha: Equipped with a 2.0-liter MPI engine delivering 154 horsepower and 192 Nm torque.

• 2.0L Petrol FWD: Shares the same engine specifications as the Alpha but includes additional features for enhanced comfort.

• 1.6L Turbo Hybrid (HEV): Features a 1.6-liter turbocharged hybrid engine producing a combined output of 226 horsepower and 350 Nm torque, catering to consumers prioritizing fuel efficiency and environmental considerations.

All variants are configured with Front-Wheel Drive (FWD). The 5th-generation Sportage introduces a bold and contemporary design, aligning with Kia’s global design language. Key exterior highlights include a distinctive tiger-nose grille complemented by sleek LED headlamps and daytime running lights, giving the SUV a modern and aggressive stance.

Limited Edition "Clear White" Sportage

Kia Motors Pakistan also unveiled a limited edition "Clear White" Sportage, featuring subtle yet impactful design tweaks:

• Exterior: The SUV boasts a sleek black front grille, lower grille, side skirts, fog lamps, and emblem. The Kia badging has been transformed into black, accompanied by a subtly modified front grille featuring a black chrome accent. Additionally, the previously plastic-finished front spoiler has been upgraded to gloss black.

   

• Interior: The previous beige-dominated aesthetics have been replaced with gloss black accents. All upholstery aligns with the darker theme, complemented by leather padding on the door panels.

UK: Sportage Achieves Best-Selling Status

In the UK, the Kia Sportage has become the best-selling car of 2024, surpassing competitors like the Ford Puma. This success is attributed to its appealing design, performance, and a balanced mix of hybrid engines, useful technology, and practicality, with prices starting from £29,000. The Sportage is set for a refresh next summer, featuring a striking new LED light signature and a refreshed cabin.These updates across different markets highlight Kia's commitment to innovation and responsiveness to consumer preferences, reinforcing the Sportage's position as a leading choice in the SUV segment.
